Why did I choose to complete a residency?
While in pharmacy school, I had the opportunity to be exposed to different specialties in pharmacy. From the moment I stepped into an ambulatory care clinic, I knew I wanted to be an ambulatory care pharmacist. The opportunity to work hand-in-hand with providers to optimize patients’ medication therapies and outcomes is a unique and rewarding experience. I chose to complete a PGY2 Ambulatory Care residency to further develop my skills in chronic disease management. The structure and direct patient care experiences at this residency were exactly what I was looking for in my pursuit to challenge and strengthen my skills to provide exceptional care.

Why did I choose Turley Family Medical Center at BayCare?
I have numerous colleagues who work at BayCare and speak highly of the culture of comradery and respect within the system. When visualizing where I wanted to continue my pharmacy training, I envisioned an organization with a strong reputation and support system that provides integrated care and prioritizes patient safety and quality of services. I chose BayCare as it was evident that the organization embodies what I was looking for, and I am proud I will be called a member of the BayCare team.
