Andrew Rene

Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to complete a residency because it offers an opportunity to refine my clinical skills. This intensive training period allows me to deepen my medical knowledge, improve my confidence as a clinical pharmacist, as well as to work closely with experienced physicians and mentors. Residency training is a crucial step in my professional development, ensuring I can deliver meaningful contributions to patient care.

Why did I choose St. Joseph’s Hospital at BayCare?
I chose St. Joseph’s Hospital because of its renowned commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. My prior experience working as a pharmacy intern with BayCare has given me firsthand insight into the organization’s supportive and collaborative culture, making it an ideal environment for my residency. St. Joseph’s Hospital provides core rotations and electives, such as oncology and emergency department, that will enhance my residency experience and create a positive impact on my long-term goals in patient care.
