Joseph Lamberti

Why did I choose to complete a residency?
I chose to pursue a pharmacy residency program to continue enhancing my clinical skills and gain specialized training in patient care while in a learning-focused environment. Throughout APPE rotations, my goal was to become a clinical pharmacist in the near future and a PGY1 was the first step in preparing me for the responsibilities that come with that role. A residency will allow me to make a more significant impact on patient outcomes and contribute effectively to the healthcare team.

Why did I choose St. Joseph’s Hospital at BayCare?
I chose St. Joseph’s Hospital because the program offers a wide range of diverse rotations that aligns perfectly with my goal of becoming a well-rounded clinical pharmacist. After completing rotations within BayCare and my time interviewing at St. Joseph’s, It was clear that the preceptors offered extensive experience and a passion for teaching that would provide an ideal learning environment to further my knowledge in the field of pharmacy. The family culture within the pharmacy department makes it easy to come to work with an attitude conducive to learning and growth.
